As the Province prepares to enter Phase 5 of its Reopening Plan, Scotia Fuels has updated our protocols.
Our staff members are required to stay home if they are suffering from flu/covid symptoms. They are to get tested if required under NSHA guidelines.
Our field technicians and staff members are required to wear a mask while working at a customer’s property. Exceptions allowed for mask removal when working and beathing are restricted, as long it is ok with the homeowner and a minimum distance of 2 meters (6-feet) is maintained between the technician and the other occupants of the property.
Prior to coming to a customer’s property, the following questions will be asked:
- Are you or anyone in your home feeling unwell or have worsening health symptoms?
 - In the last 14-days, have you or someone in your household travelled outside Atlantic Canada?
 - In the last 14-days, have you or someone in your household had close contact with someone confirmed to have Covid-19?
 - Are you or anyone in your household waiting for the results of a Covid-19 test?
 - When we are in your home, please allow our technician(s) 2-meter or 6 feet of physical space.

Note: if a customer answers “yes” to questions “a – d” above, they will be asked to rebook the service call until they are clear. If it is an emergency, we will take all necessary precautions.
If you are coming to the office for a visit, a mask will be required to enter. Customers are encouraged to utilized online methods, mail, or phone to pay invoices, contact the office or book services.
We will continue to monitor the situation and take all the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.
