Following the recent announcements from our provincial government allowing many businesses to re-open under new safety guidelines, Scotia Fuels has made the decision to open all departments and services effective June 8th.
We will begin re-offering regular services, including furnace tune-ups, inspections, miscellaneous service calls, and customer inquiries and concerns, all under the following guidelines for staff and customers.
+ Staff has returned to normal working hours. However, any employee is mandated to stay at home if they are sick or feeling unwell.
+ For service technicians, masks and gloves are mandatory when entering customer homes. Hand sanitizers and cleaners are required for all vehicles so all equipment can be disinfected after each service call.
+ Customers are asked to notify us in advance of any sick people in the home prior to a service call. If someone in the house is suspected or confirmed with Covid-19, staff will wear Hazmat suits to enter for emergency service.
+ The front reception area of our office ONLY will be open to customers who need to visit. A sign has been posted at the front door restricting entrance to any that are sick or have recently traveled outside the province.
+ Customers who are able are encouraged to continue on-line bookings and payments to reduce the need for coming to the office.
+ We are scheduling a gradual return to regular credit terms. We will continue with no interest on overdue accounts until June 25th, after which we will only charge for accounts over 90 days, after July 25th for those overdue for 60 days, and after August 25th to balances over 30 days. Exemptions from NSF charges and credit holds for delivery & services will be extended until July 25th.
