Covid Update – March 21, 2022

Nova Scotia has entered Phase 3 of its reopening plan effective Monday, March 21, 2022.  With that, Scotia Fuels has updated its Covid-19 protocols.

Our field technicians and staff members will continue to be required to wear a mask while working at a customer’s property. Exceptions are allowed for mask removal when working and breathing are restricted, as long it is OK with the homeowner and a minimum distance of 2 meters (6-feet) is maintained between the technician and the other occupants of the property.

Any of our staff members that are feeling unwell or have worsening cold/flu/Covid-19 symptoms are required to stay home and be tested as required under NS Health guidelines.

If there is a known Covid-19 case in a customer’s home, they should reschedule their service appointment.  In the case of an emergency service issue, we will wear Hazmat suits when on the customer’s property.

Customers are encouraged to continue to utilize online methods, mail, or phone to pay invoices or book services. However, if you are coming to the office for a visit, a mask will be required to enter.

We will continue to monitor the situation and take all the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.
