Thank you for your cooperation, patience, understanding and courage in the face of this unprecedented global health crisis. Everyone at Scotia Fuels is doing what we can to look after you and our families.
As one of our valued customers, we want to continue to assure you that we are there for you and doing our best to serve you during these uncertain times. As we follow our Prime Minister and Premier on a daily basis, we believe as a city, province and nation we are moving in the right direction to slow down the spread of the virus and to get back to at least a ‘new normal’ in as short a time as possible.
At Scotia Fuels, we remain open to provide you with oil delivery and emergency service.
Our staff has been amazing and is laser-focused on supporting you during this period. We are taking all-important precautions, including having as many employees as possible work from home, dividing our office staff into morning and afternoon shifts so they can practice social distancing at work, and wiping down work surfaces, door handles, and common spaces on a frequent basis and at the end of each shift. We are restricting the office to employees only and asking that no customers or outsiders come to our offices until further notice. We are requiring that none of our service or delivery staff stop in at the office and that they use gloves and masks for any emergency service calls.
As a reminder, we ask that you advise us ahead of time if there are any quarantined or sick persons in your home and to practice social distancing if we must enter your home. We appreciate those who have taken extra steps when we are in your home to make us feel safe and comfortable.
For those who may be experiencing financial difficulties, we will continue to keep in place the following practices:
- We are extending credit terms and stopped charging interest on overdue accounts, at least until May 25 and likely beyond depending on how this situation develops
- We have stopped charging fees for NSF payments
- We will not be cutting off any customers from oil delivery. No one needs to worry about not having oil for heat and hot water
- Our Credit Department is here to help
