On behalf of all the staff at Scotia Fuels, we are thankful and grateful to have wonderful and understanding customers! You have been patient with the reduction in some services, you have advised us if there are any quarantined or sick persons in the home and you have practiced social distancing when one of our technicians have entered your home. Our staff has appreciated all those who have taken extra steps when they are in your homes to make us feel safe and comfortable.
As a Thank-You to all our customers, whether you may be experiencing financial difficulties or not during this health crisis, Scotia Fuels has temporarily changed our credit terms and pricing policy:
– We have extended credit terms and stopped charging interest on overdue accounts, at least until June 25
– We have stopped charging fees for NSF payments
– We will not be cutting off any customers from oil delivery. No one needs to worry about not having oil for heat and hot water
– Our Credit Department is here to help
Further, we have changed our pricing strategy. We have temporarily suspended our 5-cent per litre premium that provides for no labour charge service calls, inspections and cleanings so we can keep prices as low as possible for all customers.
Until the guidelines are relaxed, most our staff will continue to work from home and for those who have to come into the office, we are wiping down surfaces, door handles, cleaning common spaces frequently and splitting shifts so only a small number of our employees are on site at a time. Our office remains closed to customers.
We are extremely proud of the courage and commitment of our staff during this period. We are also incredibly grateful to the front-line workers, first responders and all essential workers that are risking their own health to take care of us during these unprecedented times.
Scotia Fuels is proud to have been designated as an essential service from the beginning of the pandemic, and to remain open to provide oil delivery and emergency heating service.
